Cute ain't he!

I bought him a hot wheels bike. Being so far away from him. I had not idea about the size. Boy was I wrong. Felt so sorry that I got him a bike that he could not ride. So I made up for my mistake. So bought him another one. And this one fits. His mom can push him then when he can reach the peddles. And then he can ride it better. It was so nice of his parents to send me pictures.

Hello All - Very glad to be writing again. I'm getting back in a happy mood again. I hate doctors. Oh well, same old thing.
Well nothing really know here. Sun is out but still chilly outside. Almost 60 out. Nice weather for a trike ride. Maybe this weekend we can do it. Just have to make sure to big my rain gear.

This will be my hubbies bike. That's if I can get it. Oh well, maybe a new one.

I hope this finds you in good health. If you have children or not. I could never have any. But, now I'm past that part and just pick on other children. My first loves. (see below) I took care of the oldest child. I got him hooked on Hot Wheels. But it has grown into big hot wheels. The real thing.

I have 2 grand children one is under 2 and the other one is not born yet. I'm saving a collection of 2010 hot wheels. My other Grandchild I'm not sure yet. What I should collect for him.

Here is my first attempt at making a diaper cake.

I got these diapers. And by the time I gave them to mom and dad. He was to big for the diapers. So they will save them for the next one. Which I hope is a girl. lol lol
I found things to add to the diaper cake. I wanted to add more but no more room.

Below is the final diaper cake all done. I really hoped they like it. More later.

These boys are mine when I take care of them. So I've gotten the oldest liking hot wheel trucks. The little one was to little when I had him. They are both very handsome boys. They got that from there mom. lol lol The other part from there dad. Mom and dad are a very cute couple. I love them both. I keep wishing they would ask me to watch them. For say like a month. And by them I'd be glad to give them back. lol I am hoping when they get older that will still remember me. I don't get to talk with them so much now. Mom and dad are very buzzy. Both have good careers. I hope that really I do get a couple weeks or more. That's neat to be able to spoil them big time. How do you like those smiles? They are both very good looking boys.

Today though is a good day. Hubby is coming home later on tonight. He went to see his daughter in New Jersey. With a few presents he got out there. Post cards and a lot of pictures. So that is good enough for me right now.

Hello Everyone. Sorry I ain't (hi mom) been on for a few days. Been sick. It has been a ruff road. But, learning to put up with the pain. And sometimes it get very nasty. And i'm down for the count for 1-4 days. Now getting better. But, but my pain for anything in my tummy. Can start at anytime. I wish to h....... that they would fix me. But, they keep telling me I would be worse off than I am now. So here I am home, and laying down a lot. I hate being sick.

Well nothing new going on today or all last week. Just tried to keep up to date with things. But as you see I ain't. lol lol

Welcome to Stitches

This will be my 1 try at doing this. So please excuse me if I don't make sense. lol lol
I'd like to do crazy quilts. This one would just be a wall hanging. The steps would be making the first blocks. And them to me when we are done that one. Then I send them out to the different ladies and or gentlemen. Where we end up with 6 blocks being 15 inches when the block is done. Plus 1/4 inch for hemming. Also the backing to be muslin and one standard thickness. When the wall hanging is done. We trade it once more. So everyone ends up with one they have not seen before. We add our own borders with what ever color we want that goes well with the colors in the blocks.
Then the fun begins. We send me the emblishments be it ribbon, small charms and send them to different people. That way we don't end up with the same emblishments we got. We embellish them with what ever we would like. Sending them to me for the last time. And I send them to another person. So we are all surprised with the final wall hanging we get. We share a picture of each one.
For all to see.
It will be Starting in at the end of April 2010 and ends in November 2010.
I want to do this each year. Cause I know that not to many people will join this first one. I hope more do. But, I got to take the good with the bad. And be happy about the first - second - third year. I'm not sure who would like to do this sewing bee. I know it will be fun for me!

Ho Ho Ho - Merry Christmas you'all. Here is something else I want to do.

This is a great size Christmas Stocking. - I love the larges they can hold so much more toys and such. I'm making one for my Grandson. But, I will have a few months to get it done. Will do this with silks maybe or cotton. Not sure which one yet.

If I do embellish this will make it with all Christmas things.

Finally getting to the point where I can start sewing again. Got tired of being in the corner of the kitchen. Now out in my desk area. I do have to move things but oh well.

This I like because all the thread is in one place. I got draws her and there. It is attached I see to the plywood under the sewing machine.

Hi All - I have had this in my mind for a while now. I have been wanting to make a crazy quilt for ever. So I would love to start it with anyone that is interested in join. It would not start till April 2010. So you'all have time to think it you would like to join.

I want to do a queen size quilt. So everyone would end up with the same size. Quilt squares would be 15 1/4" squares. The 1/4" is for the seam. All material is to be cotton. That way easy on the sewing. The blocks can be anyway you would like to do it. No fixed pattern. For me I've also wanted to do one for years. I've been collecting material for maybe 10 years. I even pick up scraps from when I went to garage sales. Hmmmmmmm! I think I will start going back to garage sales. lol lol

I want to do it making one a month. After the month is up. Send them to me. And I will turn around and send them out to different ladies or Gentlemen.

When we are all done with how ever blocks we end up with (this event could take a year maybe to do). The more people we add to this even the quicker we make a queen size quilt. But, that might take awhile. Wish is fine with me. I know this event will go slow I expect that. But, as much as I love sewing. I'm looking forward to everyone that joins. Of making new friends and the love of sewing.

Here is one of my loves. Is making topiary's. This one is my Garlic Tree. Next to that is a bay leaf tree. I sold a couple of these (garlic trees) when I was down south. But, here no one so far is interested in them. So they are on the back burner for now.

I do make topiary trees of rosebuds. Garlands, balls and swags. I know there is something more there for me to make. But, with not doing it in a few months. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I know this year I am going to finally be able to get fresh lavender. I want to make a few trees. You use the lavender to shape the tree. And add it to a ball of grape vine. Then add a string of white lights to it. them. So they are on the back burner for now.

This is the whole stocking. I have cut it in 4 pieces. That makes it easier for me to put it all together. Also the 4 cuts for the pattern fit in the scanner better. lol lol After you tape the 4 pieces together. You get a very good idea on the size it will be. Makes for a very nice size. Where you get more things in the stockings for the children. And or you hubby or wife.

This is a Concentric Quilt. Found it in a quilt magazine. Honest! lol a lady by the name of Jo Morton has made this one. So I hope mine will be as good as her's. Will take pictures as I do it. So you'all can do it one of these days. And show it off. If we have any members that is. lol lol

If anyone has the time I'd like to see someone Knit a tree like this. Sure is something to see! Wonder who did this.

This is the colors that I picked for my log cabin. Very pretty. Want to do another one soon. Also the lady that is selling them in Ebay. Has a few of these kits. Also has one of 2,000 squares. I know I have to get one. The one below is the squares she has. Very pretty ain't it!

This one below is not mine either. But, I sure wish it was. One day I'll get to do it. Not sure when. I have a pile of other things to catch up with. And hope to heck I get caught up on my 4 blogs and my business site.

Below is a rag quilt that is really would be nice to make. Not sure of the colors I would use. What I can see the checkers back would go great. I've got checkers material. And red material that I made into curtains to hid my washer and drier area. But, can't use them. Oh well! So they might go good with the quilt. I'm thinking that making the checkers and the red as big checker.
